The Border Peak also know as Trekufiri is a mountain located in the Albanian Alps and the Bogićevica range. Perched at 2,366 m (7,762 ft) above sea level, its summit marks the border where Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro intersect. It is considered the most beautiful hiking trail, suitable for all ages, the best months to do this hike are from May - November! This amazing tour we’ll start with 1h 30min transfer from Peja passing through some great attractions in Kosova: Deqani orthodox monastery-Unesco world heritage site (possibility to stop for a visit), Deqani river canyon and high mountain pass of Belegu mountains from where we will start our hike. We will walk on the ridge of Qafa Belegut and Qafa e Dobroshit on the official Peaks of the Balkans hiking trail up to Qafa e Bogiçes and climb to the Three Border peak, which is the point shared between Albania, Kosova and Montenegro. Great views from here (if the weather allows) towards highest point of Kosova-Gjeravica 2656m, Doberdoli valley (so called Teletubbies Land) and further towards Valbona valley rugged peaks. Continue via circular route through Liqeni I Tropojës high mountain lake, if the weather allows we can swim at this beautiful and interesting lake. Back to the starting point via circular route and transport back to Peja. Duration: 4-5hrs Level: moderate hike. +350m -350m. 16km.
