Ethnographic Museum (Muzeu Etnologjik)

The Ethnological Museum is a cultural heritage monument in Pristina, Kosovo. This monument belongs to the “Architectural” category. It is located in the Emin Gjiku complex, a cultural monument from the 18th century. This house was once owned by the family of Emin Gjikolli. In the museum, the tools and articles related to the lifestyle from the Ottoman period of Kosovo are exhibited.

 

Gracanica Monastery

Graçanica Monastery is a monument of cultural heritage in Kosovo.

Today’s monastery is a reconstruction of a century church. XIV dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which church was built on the foundations of an early Christian basilica of the century. VI. According to its spatial concept, it belongs to the type of churches with five domes on a square base with an inscribed cross, characteristic of Byzantine architecture.

 

Mother Teresa Square

The city center, where there are many hotels, restaurants, shops and cultural events, is named Mother Teresa, who also had Albanian origins!

Heroinat Monument

Heroinat Monument (HEROINAT) is a typographic sculpture and tourist attraction in Pristina, Kosovo. The monument is located in a park in the center of Pristina, in one of the most central and frequented areas of Pristina, in front of the NEWBORN Monument.

HEROINAT depicts an Albanian woman using 20,000 needles. Each needle represents a woman raped during the Kosovo War from 1998-1999.

BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina

The bear sanctuary is located near Lake Badoc, Pristina.
The bears that have been scattered throughout the territory of Kosovo for years already have a refuge, and this is the Bear Forest. This forest has about 20 bears. The characteristic of these bears is that during the winter season they do not feed and fall. in weight, until the emergence of spring. Bears live up to the age of 30-35 years, while in shelters even longer due to the care given to them.A day off would be appropriate to visit this forest.
