What food consumed in Kosovo and can I have specific solutions if I am allergic or dietary etc?
In Kosovo, very healthy food is consumed, from fresh local vegetables, lamb meat, various traditional dishes and hot cooked bread etc. They are the best dish for dinner, healthy continental breakfast, pepper wtith hot cream, a lot kind of pie(byrek), etc. are not missing in our table! But if you are allergic, on a diet or have any specific food-related requests contact us before you book and we’ll take care of to accomplish them.
What is the weather in Kosovo?
The best months to explore Kosovo are from March to October, why not from December to February for winter activities and sports!
During the summer season, temperatures reach around 30 degrees. August may be hotter, but we always have the freshness of the Albanian Alps!
What should I pack?
Recommeded packing includes: – Comfortable boots – Lightweight, breathable clothing that’s suitable for walking/ hiking/biking – Wind/waterproof jacket – Hat – Water bottle – Sunglasses – A small backpack in case of outdoor activities and don’t forger camera phone for great pictures!
Our team will welcomed you to the arrival area at the Pristina Airport. They will explain to you the history of Kosovo, answer your questions, and escort you to capital town Pristina, which is just 20km from Airport but If our arrival will be earlier in Pristina, we will go to the Hotel and leave the bags and to relax for 1h and after that we will going out for a dinner together also after our dinner we will visit some small nightclubs there to relax and to know more about each other! Stay in a hotel for overnight there!
After a good breakfast in the Hotel we will pack the bag to our bus and our guide will escort you to Sightseeing the highlights of capital Pristina, like Scanderbeg Square, Mother Theresa Boulevard, National Library, Heroinat Monument And NewBorn. Transport (1h) to Prekazi village to visit the war monument of Jashari family.From there our guide will escort you to Peja town as know to Peja city of tourisme for overnight there in 3 stars Hotel near city center!
After pack the bag in your room and relaxed we will take you by foot to go in the city center to get a short walk, while walking through the square, you will see a large number of young people who enliven the city with full of smiles and adrenaline, letting you always understand that Kosovo has the healthiest youth and half of the population in Kosovo is made up of young people! We will go to eat dinner in best restaurant in the area!
After a rich breakfast we are ready to know the best of Peja outdoors, we will start visiting the center, Ethnological Museum of the region, Long Bazaar and cheese market, Haxhi Bey’s hammam(is a uniquebuilding of the 15thcentury that present values of the architectural heritage of Peja), The Bajrakli Mosque is the main mosque it was built in 1471. After these we will go by bus transfer in the best touristic part Radaci, to see Drini Bardh Waterfall and just a few 10 minutes further, we will find the "Sleeping Beauty" Cave, we go inside with special guide visit it for about 15 minutes to get and know the greatness, history and beauty! After this beautifull visiting we will come back to get direction to the west of Kosovo Rugova Mountain, where on the way we will stop for a visit to Patriarchate of Peja. The monastery is located at the edges of an old Roman and Byzantine Siperant, was built on 13th century and it has been protected by UNESCO since 2003! After this visit we will pass by the Rugoves Gorge, seeing the amazing canyons, caves and numerous waterfalls, and from all this beauty of Accursed Mountains we will spend a night there and to have for dinner traditionale food of this zone!
Of corse we will have different breakfast here, and get ready for a drive about 20 minutes from this resort, where we will hike the peak of Vjellaku, and continues through hills and mountains that offer beautiful landscapes and panoramic views of the slopes of Rugova and the Dukagjin cities, before reaching the top of Vjellak at an altitude of 2014 m. From this point you can see most of the territory of Kosovo on a day with good visibility, as well as the mountain ranges of Accursed-Mountains in Montenegro and Albania! MODERATE JOURNEY
We will return to the same place to rest and have a good dinner in the restaurant, why not have some music for entertainment!
In this tour today we will head towards small city of Deqani and visit Orthodox Monastery-Unesco world heritage site and continue towards Junik for a visit to Great Tekke Go to Gjakova for overnight stay at the hotel and also eat the traditional dinner food in the best restaurant of Gjakova!
If Prizren is the cultural capital and Pristina the cosmopolitan hub, then Gjakova definitely takes the prize for the most charming city in Kosovo. Located in the county’s west roughly halfway between Prizren and Peja, the gateway to the Dinaric Alps, Gjakova is only 12km from the Albanian border. After breakfast we visit the Grand Bazaar One of the largest and oldest in the region. Along with the bazaar, the Hadum Mosque (Xhamia e Hadumit) is one of Gjakova’s defining features. It has such permanence, it feels as though it’s been here forever and the rest of the city sprung up around it. Sitting at the end of the Grand Bazaar, Gjakova’s Clock Tower (Sahat Kulla) was constructed in 1597, a few years after the mosque was completed. Gjakova’s Ethnographic Museum (Muzeu Etnografik i Gjakovës) is a treasury of heritage objects collected from families in the area. Tabak Bridge, is close to town and walking distance from the church. After finish all of them we will drive to Prizeren old town.Once the capital of Kosovo and an important Ottoman trading city, it is buried under the mountains of Sharri. Ottoman vibes can be felt especially around Shadervan – near this main, cobbled square you’ll find a great selection of bars and restaurants, as well as the lovely Sinan Pasha Mosque. Prizren, is considered by many as the cultural capital of Kosovo - contemporary and ancient. This mix of old and new makes it one of the must-see stops when visiting Kosovo. and the Old Stone Bridge, which dates back to the 16th century.
After breakfast we will pack all bags and make a short visit to Prizren castle and take the highway road to Pristina internation Airport!
