Maja Jezercë, the highest peak of Prokletije (the Accursed mountains), is also known as the “Queen of the Alps”. With an elevation of 2694 m/alt. Amazing views during the path!
Jezerca Peak (Albania Maja Jezercë) is the highest peak in the entire Dinaric Alps, the second highest in Albania and the sixth highest in Balkans. It is one of the toughest if not one the most dangerous climbs in the Albanian Alps. However, Maja Jezercë is the 28th most prominent mountain peak in theEuropean continent.
There are several ways of climbing this mountain. The most popular one is starting from Fusha e Gjes’ in Valbona Valley to Maja Jezercë.
Maja Jezercë(Jezerca Peak) is situated within the Accrused Mountain range, that is noted for several small glaciers.
The peak of Jezerce can be climbed from three countries, the starting places are Theth, Valbona and Vusanje in Montenegro, to climb this peak from Vusanje in Montenegro, you need a cros border permits our company Top Balkan Tours can arrange that for you..
This trail is not considered difficult for professional mountaineers, but for those who are beginners it is recommended to have helmets and in some short places during some climbs you should also use your hands!

As we said, Maja e Jezerces(Jezerca Peak) can be climbed from 3 different countries, Kosovo, Albania and Montengero, we will take the direction to Theth, Valbone or Vusanje, that night we will have accommodation, dinner, and our guide will inform you more about the conditions and ascent of this peak, let's prepare for tomorrow!
After a rich breakfast, we will take our personal things also to have enough water with us, the lunch package and we will climb the top of Jezerce! After the end of this climb we will return to the first destination where we met!
