A little information for the reader…
Lëpushë is a small village located in Northern Albania, the border between Albania and Montenegro. It is part of the Kelmend region, in Shkodër County. Lëpushë is very well known for its beautiful nature and as a great destination and as a great strategic point for hiking trails.
In the mountains of Kelmendi, on the border with Montenegro, there is one of the most wonderful areas of Albania, such as the peak of Vajushë.
To explore it, you have to walk for about 2 and a half hours from Lëpusha between the mountains.
Departure from Tirana at 8:30 am. The journey from Tirana to Tamara village takes about 3 hours. There we stop and visit the Cem River and after that, we go hiking for about 1 hour in the Selce Waterfall which is one the most beautiful waterfalls in Albania. Returning, we will be accommodated in the village of Lepushë where we’ll have some free time and walks in the village. In the evening, we will have dinner.
After breakfast we leave for one of the most beautiful peaks in Albania, the peak of Vajushë with a height of 2046 meters. Hiking starts at an altitude of 1200 meters and it lasts about 4 hours in total. After finishing our hike, we leave Lëpushë and head back to Tirana.
